First Eggs

Dona is definitely getting ready to lay her first clutch of eggs (infertile, of course). We are watching out for her, and her belly has become more swollen and she is moodier. She is still eating and drinking and pooping.

My concern is that she's spent a lot of time on the vines right next to the bottom of the enclosure, by the pot of dirt her plant is buried in, but has made no attempt to step onto the sand. It is a very big and deep pot, so she could start digging in it. The dirt is covered by a couple of inches of very fine play sand. We also have a laying bin ready to put her in if she has trouble with the pot. But I noticed when she was down there she flicked her tongue at the sand like she was eating it. She did this in several different areas.

She hasn't gone onto the dirt/sand yet. At what point should I start to worry about her?
