I've just collected 18 eggs from my quadricornis female and i'm so excited!!!
now i'll incubate at 18-19°C for the night and 22-23°C for the day with a ratio of water and vermiculite of 1:1.. i hope to have success with them!! i still can't believe it..
I've always read to give a difference of temp between day and night.. it helps to have stronger babies.. also on Necas book is written to do like this!!
Not to argue or fight...and not trying to change your mind in any way.
The reason I would not change the temps on a daily or nightly basis is because it doesn't replicate how the eggs would be in the wild.
My thoughts are, why change or complicate things more then what nature does for the eggs?
Why not just keep it simple as you have enough to deal with?
Sounds good Jack!
This morning when I checked my eggs from Tr.quad. quad., there was a new neonate born. So I hope this evening when I turn back all 6 will hatch(or maybe later).
Hello everybody! Yesterday i checked the eggs in the incubator and i saw that some of them aren't in good shape.. i think it was a humidity problem so i added some water and i hope all of them now will return ok!! I'll post some pics of them and also of the female that looks pregnant again!!
You can see the eggs with problems in the top of these 2 pics (4 eggs in total)
