Dry casque?

I noticed Alfred's head is visually drier looking than the rest of his body, even after he sheds. I took some pics of him, maybe someone can help me out, if I need to post the "how to ask for help" questioner I will do so



he was showing off his colors the longer I put my giant iPhone close to him for the pics ..

Did you get any answers? Wonder if this could be a fungus? What ever it is it seems very superficial.

To me it looks like its getting ready to shed that part of his body. I noticed on the first picture that around his back there's tiny pieces of sheded skin. Maybe he hasn't finished.?

He's a handsome boy! It looks normal to me. He could be getting ready to shed. As veileds get older they shed in sections. My veileds have some shed on them somewhere just about all the time.
