Do you need windows?

Do they need windows to be able to determine the daylight cycle outside?

I have a furnished room in the basement that used to be a kids' play room. Kids are all grown up now and are never down there.

Chameleon jungle?? :D

But, there are absolutely no windows down there. Problem? Do they have to be in sync with the real sun?

They don't have to be exactly. You can still have your lights go on when the sun comes up and off when it goes down. Even though they won't be able to see outside, they will adjust.

Nope! not necessary
I actually read that a member on here has made a complete "Dark-Room" and has even flipped the chameleons schedule to be awake during our night, and asleep during our day (Supposed to help with electricity, and different work schedules)
