Crickets in numbers

I put some crickets always in my Chameleons cage. He seems to like it when I put in 2-4 in but when I put more in he turns brown. Could it be because he is afraid of them?

George is
Gender:Male
Age: not sure age but he 2 to 3 inches not including tail
Spieces: veiled chameleon
Handling: handle him about 1 time a day
Food: crickets dusted with Exo Terra Calcium and multi vitamins. 5 until he eats them all.
Misting:Use Little Dripper.
Poop: Poop is brown with white sometimes a little bit of orange.

Sometimes if you put in too many at once in their small space it can stress them out. There busy looking all over and around at them. As he gets older it will probably change.

Also I'm sure someone with vield experience will chime in but I believe you should dust with plain calcium as a supplement and dust with multi vitamins once a month, not at each feeding.

What kind of enclosure do you have and size? glass, mesh? and what lighting do you use?

The reason I asked was just to be sure you had the right UVB bulb and the right basking bulb
