I own a couple of microscopes and I've had a little patch of shed skin sat in a testube for ages that I've been meaning to look at. Finally I've had the time to get the scopes out and have a look! This skin is quite old now, at least a few months and it still has quite a lot of opalessence going on! Really cool I have a few other photos and I do need to stack or otherwise process them so watch this space This first one is raw, straight off the microscope....
The reason I need to do some processing is because the microscope has a tiny depth of field. So tiny that you only see a teenty tiny section of your subject. So I'll stack a few shots of different layers and if all goes well we'll see the whole lot in focus
