Black spot on his head?

Hey guys,

I have a baby panther chameleon that has a black spot on his head. It looks like it may have been a cricket nibbling on him or a bruise. Any ideas? Will he be ok? He has had it for a week or so now, and he has still been eating, drinking, and roaming fine. Thanks!

I can't see from the picture whether it's a little hole inside the bone, too or just a little wound - or even just a little bit of dirt from a plant. A bruise wouldn't be such a little point typically. Does he have it since hatched?

no, he has only had it for a few weeks. It is a little wound of some sort. it is actually indented just a little bit.

As long as he's obviously active, eating, drinking and climbing around, I would wait and see whether it's healing without any help. I don't think it's from a nibbling cricket, those wounds usually look very different. Would be the right place for a wounded residual parietal eye, that's why I asked if he has had this since hatched.
