Baking Sticks

So, I want to bake some sticks to sterilize them. How long should I bake them for? I've done some research and I think 250 is a good temp, but I don't know how long I should leave them in there for.

Suggestions?

lik 20 mins should be good. Be sure to clean them with some antibacterial soap. Some use a bleach and water mix and soak them but I think thats overboard, Cant be too careful tho...Cheers!

I just got done stripping 3 branches for my cage. Since its 90+ degrees here already I left them on in the sun for 3 days the bleach/water scrummed them to leave them outside for another day. The next set of branches I strip and clean Ill probably do the same thing just because its so hot here.

It's cold here in VT, so I threw them in the shower in SUPER hot water to scrub and now I'll throw them in the oven!
