At last, handfed!

So i got a arond 3 or maybe 4 month old cham, who lately has been eating a lot, 2 days ago was the first time i saw him eat like a beast, going from one cricket to another just after i left them in the cage... Today when i got home from school i did the regular procedure. misting and feeding... I always try to give the first feeder from my hand, just in case he would like to... and guess what, now my cham finally did! I had to stay for a while until my arm was hurting then i changed to my other arm and just when i got it it, my cham seemed interested and he just went for it... altough i tried again with the next crickets, he didnt want to anymore, so i had to leave them in front of him.... but oh well it's a start! oh yeah he even took a poop in front of me! that was a first timer, i had never seen one poop lol! they like to take their time too:p Tomorrow im gonna try again, see if he's interested, i could also try with meal worms... i have those saved up but he doesnt seem interested either. Anyways, there's also another thing. im not sure if my cham is a he or she, and the guys at teh reptile shop dont know either, but are offering me to go tomorrow to go check other chams around my chams age so i could compare, but i dont know what to do, should i wait until its clear what gender it is or go for the change?? it is a bit tricky right now to say what it is, since it's in a confusing age.... dont know what to do..

That is awesome that you got your cham to hand feed! I thought I was the only one that had to hold my arm out so long that it made my arm hurt!
Yes they do take there sweet time to poop... I call it the poo poo dance :D

Also I forgot to congratulate you on your accomplishment of hand feeding too. I'm still waiting for my little girl to warm up to hand feeding.

Thank you! I recommend you hold those crickets just enough for them not to escape, as my cham tried like a couple of times to take the cricket from my fingers but couldnt do it as i was holding it too firmly.... and then my cham became hesitant on wanting to take it from my fingers... so you dont want that, but you dont want the crickets to jump out so just figure out a way for them to move a bit to get your chams attention but dont hold them too tightly or else it will happen what happened to me haha
