Still not eating and now at bottom of cage

Hi everyone and as always thanks in advance for your help...Cricket (my WC I though Graceful but some people on this board think she may be a flap neck) is till not eating - day 5!!! This am I found her a the bottom of her cage. I felt her stomach and cannot feel anything lumpy like eggs. She had stopped eating just after she shed (I swear it was in a few hours, her whole body shedded) and I had also moved her cage and put in the fogger.

She has been very spotty (I had posted pics of her this way on Monday) and sometimes stripped as well. She otherwise looks very healthy. I do not know her age as she is WC. Also, I think it's a female (LOL) as there are no tarsal spurs but do both gracefuls and flap necked males have spurs?

Should I prepare for egg laying just in case?

I am starting to panic - 5 days without food cannot be okay!!

Looking spotty and no interest in food sounds like stress. Sorry I don't remember how long you've had her. Has anything changed in her field of view or in her setup? Is she active on the cage floor or just sitting still? If she's moving around on the cage floor she may be trying to escape something or looking for a nesting spot. Also, not eating for 5 days isn't horrible as long as she's drinking, but you are right to try and figure out what's going on. I am not experienced with gracefuls though.

Read your post again...aha! You just moved her cage and put in a fogger? Watch to see if she goes to cage floor during fogging cycles. It's new and strange. Can she see reflections, house activity or other pets in her new cage spot? Any pets or people watching her more now? All these things could be upsetting her.

I have had her for about 2 months. I did move her cage but she is in a quiet spot . She has moved up to the top of the cage but still spotty and will not eat (even butter worms, her fav). I have also removed her faountain on the advice of some mebers of this board and put in a fogger. I ca't tell if she's drinking or not!

If you want to be sure shes drinking mist the heck out of her whole cage until you see her start to drink and then continue spraying. I dont trust foggers, is it a fogger or mister? You should have a misting rain type watering system. Foggers arent the best for watering animals. They provide humidity but you need mist to provide drinking oppurtunities.

Has she been to the vet or at least had a fecal run. I'd start by taking the next poop she has to the vet and get a fecal float & smear. You need to see if shes got parasites. After a cpl of weeks acclimation time I always take a fecal in to my vet. Whether they are wc or cb.

IMHO it never hurts to give an egglaying female a place to lay eggs just in case...but don't know if she's gravid.
