well i need to gather supplies for me to ship on monday. i have the box all i need to get is a heating pack. i found the hand warmers at walmart that last for 18 hours. i wanted to make sure it was ok to use or should i use something else?? any suggestions? also where can i buy styrofoam?? the walmart here has NONE! thank you guys.

the best thing is insolation from homedepot or lowes or a hardware store in stead of styrofoam holds the heat in the box thye sell it in big like 4 by 6 or 8 sheets for a few bucks a sheet

The hand warmers should work, just wrap them in paper, or put them in a brown paper bag after you activate them and put them in.
Styrofoam should be easy to find:confused:
I think they sell it at walmart where all the mailing supplies are.
Shredded paper packed tightly seemed to work wel for fillerl when my got my guy mailed.

Hand warmers are definitely NOT ok. You shouldn't ship with anything less than a 40 hour heat pack.

The heat pack builds heat, and then tapers off. A 40 hour pack will give you heat protection over a 24 hour period.

A hand warmer will lose effective heat within a few hours.

In addition both FedEx and SYR guidelines require at least a 40 hour heat pack to be used when shipping in colder weather.
