We took him yesterday to a vet who works on reptiles in our area. Well, I had a hunch it was an anal prolapse after I felt his hemipenis were still in him. And I was right. It was an anal prolapse. She said it looked awesome and the tissue was still very live. She used a local anastetic and...
Yeah, if there is more sugar than water, it won't dissolve and it will be irritating. If you mix sugar with water and have a little more water than sugar, it should dissolve and not be gritty. The liquid sucrose is probably best but we didn't have that at the time and we needed to soak him...
I'm sorry, it wasn't vaseline. We were told to try Preperation H. So that's what we used to try and get some of the swelling down. It looks almost like both are twisted around each other. They deffinately don't look normal.
So, we woke up this morning and turned on our male's lights. A few hours later, came in to find his hemi-penis prolapsed. He's never been with a female. We've soaked in warm sugar water, and used vaseline and anti-biotic ointment on it. When I take him to the vet on Monday(if it doesn't go in by...
Deb- yeah reptiles are second too. Horses were deff. the first passion. Good luck with your jumping! This guy is actually very VERY calm. My arabs are the hot-heads. lol. And he's only 15.3 hands.
Well, I took these pics about a week ago when I put him in his newly repoted and cleaned ficus...he started hiding in the tree. lol. He's like "Mom! I swear if don't get that camera out of my face!" Hope you enoy!
We got our levis levis pair from Jon as well! We got them when he was at Daytona. We have a male amyae and are looking for a female. It's just that they are so dang expensive!
Awww! I love my arabs. lol. They're so smart and I love their personalities. But also, yeah, I've ridden english in the 10 years. I just started jumping for about 5 months.
Very cool leos. have you joined www.geckoforums.net ? It's a great forum and I've been on there for over a year now. Just to let you know however, your leos really shouldn't be on sand or any lose substrate. It can cause impaction and even death by impaction. Use paper towels instead. They're...
very cool wheeleri and levis! We have them too and are breeding them as well this year. They're so much fun to watch. Where did you get yours at?

Your paintings are beautiful! I really like the other chameleon painting you did on your website. Do you happen to have any prints of the other one on your site?
Ours is in the reptile room as well so no problems here. I suspect that people who have small collections have brought theirs into the garage or house. And those who keep theirs in greenhouses have some means of heating the house.
Yeah so we bought a nicely shaped ficus and come to find out if was too tall so I had to chop a bunch of it off so it looks like it has a flat top. lol. But I didn't cut into the main braches...so it should be ok. Does anyone use a grow-light and where can I get one if I need one?
