    Moving across the country

Hi all, I'm moving from Illinois to the Boston area later this month, and was wondering if my moving plan for my Oustalet's is a good idea. Since it's a long drive (18 hours) that will have to be split into two days, I was considering keeping him in a dark and hopefully comfortable...

    Oustalet's acting lethargic

Here's a photo I snapped a few minutes ago. I can take some more tomorrow from inside the cage when he's up and about if this isn't enough.

    Oustalet's acting lethargic

I'll see if I can get a few pictures of them when I get home. He may be sleeping already, so they should be easy to photograph.

    Oustalet's acting lethargic

Thanks for the tip. I'll call around and see which vets deal with herps.

Looking for a large cage for Oustalet's

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a cage larger than 2'x2'x4' for my growing male Oustalet's. I live in the St. Louis area, so if you happen to be nearby, I'd be more than happy to come pick it up. I'm also moving to the Boston area in June, so I'd again be willing to pick it up if anyone in the...

    Oustalets chameleon

Searching for a young Oustalet's took me months, they're definitely not easy to find at the moment. I'd give Pet Paradise in Virginia Beach a call, ask to talk to somebody in the reptile department. They shipped me a 3 month old Oustalet's, and I live all the way in Illinois. I'm not sure if...

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

Fantastic, as a first time chameleon owner (but not reptile owner, cared for plenty of reptiles over the years), I definitely wanted to go with a male for my first cham. Dealing with egg laying sounds... stressful. So, if he is under developed at this point, what sort of problems (if any) can I...

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

Here you go! Sorry, couldn't get the rest of his tail, he was in a bit of an awkward position. If he is malnourished or under developed, what do you recommend?

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

I tend to doubt it's a female, simply because he (or she?) has quite literally no green in him/her, 100% brown, whereas all of the females I've seen display a mostly greenish hue. Here's another pic of his arms, I think part of the problem was the angle of the first shot, his skin on his arms...

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

Just got done with the first misting (have a Mist King installed) and he's drinking fine too. I was getting a bit worried after FedEx delayed the shipment by 6 hours, but luckily he appears to be healthy as can be. Now, about that name...

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

Definitely. Very helpful in scheduling around the not-so-great weather here in Illinois.

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

He's here! Still don't have a name, but he's doing great. The pics are a bit blurry, but I was obviously a bit more concerned about getting him into his cage along with some crickets. I happened to turn around just as he was snapping up his first cricket, he's a beast! :P If you're wondering...

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

Alright, hopefully the last time I have to say this, but the final ship date is this Wendesday, so he'll arrive Thursday! Super excited, can't wait to post pictures.

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

Will do! I thought he would arrive tomorrow, but because of the super cold weather here in Illinois, we decided to wait (hopefully only a day or two). But still, soon! Not at all, or at least from everybody I've talked to, they aren't. They're actually known to be a pretty laid-back species...

    FINALLY getting my Oustalet's!

Three months after the first one I ordered wasn't able to be delivered, I've finally found and ordered a juvenile CB male Oustalet's! Thanks to the super helpful reptile staff at Pet Paradise in Virginia Beach for putting up with my calls every few weeks. Now I just need to go buy some...

    Rex update

Sweet, definitely looking into Chameleon Cans. I guess they don't properly index their site, as it never showed up on Google while searching for CB Oustalet's. Thanks for the recommendation! :)

    Rex update

Out of curiosity, where did you get Rex? I've been looking for an Oustalet's for the past few months that isn't a WC adult, but I've had no luck.

    Im a newbie please help!!!

I'm not 100% on this as I'm not too well-read on plant care, but I have a Schefflera/umbrella plant, which is supposedly pretty resistant when it comes to trimming. I haven't had a problem with it after trimming it a few times.
