So my wife named our chameleon Pascal after the chameleon on the movie Tangled. But i've noticed a lot of chams with the same name. Se we have officially changed his name to Gonzo. What do you think? :D
If you do decide not to have your friend dust the crickets, i would make sure you have a calcium rich gutload. This may help him keep calcium in his system over the ten days. :D
That is the right one. You can get it in a bigger container. I am currently using it with every feeding. No other supplements. Seems to be doing a fine job. Look around online, you may be able to find a better price. The product is called Repashy Calcium Plus. Here is the link. :D...
Ha ha. Just want every chameleon wants. I'm mixing the worms in with the veggies. The worms get a good gut load, and the chameleon gets a taste of veggies which, hopefully, gives him an acquired taste for different veggies.
Hi everybody. I just made this feeder. I was reading on how to introduce new veggies into my chams diet. Apparently some members are mixing worms with veggies in hope that the chameleon will acquire a taste for whatever vegetables are mixed with the worms. The theory sounds like it would work...
Nothing special. I purchased the enclosure off of LLL reptiles. I made my own feeders. Just put those in, don't know how they are going to work. I also purchased a drainage pan from LLL reptiles. Using a mist king, reptisun 5.0, and a 30W bulb for heat. Basking temp stays around 82 degrees. :D
You can purchase cork bark flats from zoo med. These are easily cut to fit the back of any cage.
The background that you are talking about is a little more difficult to build. Watch this video, as it may help quite a bit. It is for an aquarium background, but i think you have the same idea...
I found a great deal on LLLreptile.com. The cage seems to be great quality. You can also purchase drainage pans which are very handy. Hope this helps. :D
Yes its totally fine. I have one ficus tree and one big fake vine. My cham likes to bask on the fake vine. He is a veiled, and I've never seen him try and eat the fake leaves. I don't think he could if he tried, they're pretty tough. :D
