It takes some time for them to get used to cup feeding at first. If you put the cup right in their face all day long it seems to help. I mounted mine right under his basking branch and it took him no time to figure it out. I also use one of those bendable branches and wrapped it around my...
I hear ya but I am lazy :) i found this one that was already the right size off yahoo images. I have been telling myself to change it for awhile now :D
Instead of arguing maybe you guys should become partners. If I am right .be is for Belgium right? I am pretty sure no one in Belgium is selling Chams in the Americas (maybe I'm wrong)? And vis versa. And from what I have read so far his website is only informative. I'd be stoked if I find a...
Who Knows...My guy is the same way. Bright colors always through him off, but there are times when he lets me hold him without getting too stressed.
The way his cage is setup he has to go to the ground first to get on the screen, and once he is on the screen he's not figured out that he...
I made a dripper out of an old small aquarium pump and a small metal valve also sold in the aquarium section at the store. What i did was make a hose that runs from the output of the pump to the valve then from the valve back into the water bucket. I adjust the valve to allow the amount of...
Sorry for your loss. It always is hard losing a pet cuz they are so vulnerable and depend on us completely. But you always need to learn from your mistakes and promise yourself to be better the next time around. I wouldn't give up on owning chams completely if you love em. I am pretty sure...
I wish I could do that but it would take so much work I don't really think I can do it. My cage is about 8' tall x 3' wide x 3.5' deep so it dosen't move very easily even though it has wheels. Unfortunately also I live in a small 1 bedroom apartment so not many rooms to chose from. The good...
I got another Ultrasonic Humidifier made by HoneyWell and after about 14 hours of running it I have a pretty consistent 55% humidity and it hasn't dropped below 50% since....so I am happy and my new little veiled seems to be loving his new home....Thanks Mike!
BUT it is also warming up here...
Welcome to the forums from Chicago!!
Just moved here to Chicago from Germany about a year ago and Istanbul a couple years before that. I have been to Paris a few times and now I am jealous thinking about it. :( What a cool city it is.
Yep that could be but then they wouldn't be camouflaged at all. I only have had veileds and in my opinion they have a very Camo color and pattern but still i don't think he is trying to look like his surroundings I think he changes colors mostly based on his mood and temps and health. But then...
HAHA thats funny!! A veiled standing on a pink flower trying to turn pink? I am no expert but I have never seen my veilds look like they were trying to change colors. It is even hard for me to understand why an animal that is supposed to be a camouflage master would wear colors like Bright...
You hit the nail right on the head with that one!! I have never seen any online community that got along and shared information so freely before. Even with hot topics such as handling your cham!! :p
Thank you ALL sooo much!!
Yep that was the idea all along...I would never completely wrap the cage in plastic although I do realize I did write something like that! :)
Makes me think of after 911 when Cheney said that everyone should seal their houses with garbage bags incase of a chemical attack!!! Then the next day a...
I will have to check and see what my ambient humidity is I don't have a sensor outside the cages..... yet. I will buy another humidifier tonight and hope that ends this up and down cycle I have going now.
Mostly I wanted to post this so people would know that humidity in the winter is...
