Pillbugs, snails, and slugs.

I have a lot come out when it rains, and I know people feed off snails, but not sure about pillbugs/potato bugs (if they're the same thing) and slugs. I assume that the pillbugs have some metal in them, so not to feed often if at all. Any times on how to get the snails to grow? They're about a mm big right now, and breed them too.

Pillbugs rollie pollie potato bugs fit into an islopod (sp?) Group and Sandra has a blog about breeding feedig and there rather good! snails i have no idea lol

I learned a lot from her posts. Pretty hard to teach a teen how to care for an exotic pet. She's been a big help, that and I was raised knowing I have to know everything about the animal before getting one :D

Thanks! I'll start that one right away while I read up on the others. I got about 50 pillbugs/rollie pollies (whichever is the one that rolls into a ball for protection) in all of 10 minutes.

Sandra's Isopod blog is brilliant! I followed that a couple of months ago and mine have now started breeding!:D I have also tried breeding garden snails, but have had no success with those at all.

Some chameleons will eat slugs. Slugs create more "slime" than snails, which I suspect not all chams would enjoy. Less calicum in them than in snails. If wild sourced, the issue of parasites exists. And more importantly they can carry/pass meningitis causing worms. I dont breed them and dont recommend them as feeders.
I am willing to be convinced otherwise though!

I've been trying to find somewhere to buy snails online to start a culture lately, and since I live in the desert most edible bugs don't exist.. So I was thinking, If i payed you, would you ship me a bunch of snails? Private message me if you would be down to do that. :)

thanks

I cant, since I live in Canada.

edit: looks like you may need a permit

Pill bugs (isopods) are also good for poo clean up in cricket and Roach tanks and do contain copper which they poop out and turn around to eat to gain the copper back.
