Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - female veiled, she's maybe 4 inches from nose to tail tip, she's tiny. I'm assuming she's about a month and a half maybe?
Handling - i try and handle her at least ten minutes a day so she becomes social. she never seems to mind or get agitated, and when she does i put her back.
Feeding - 12 small crickets a day, i usually just buy from the store and immediatly stick them in her food cup.
Supplements - calcium sprinkled on food every day
Watering - i mist three times a day, and i always see her drink alot.
Fecal Description - dark poo, white urates, not runny at all.
History - i wouldnt know, i bought her at a reptile store, they always seem to take good care of their babies.:)

Cage Info:
Cage Type - I have her in a ten gallon aquarium right now (i know, big nono) but i just bought an 18x18x36 reptibreeze
Lighting - zoomed 5.0 uvb, lights on at 8 am, lights off at 8 pm
Temperature - not sure, but i do ave a heat bulb for her?
Humidity - uhm i dunno, i spray three times a day, so she always has water, and i suppose it makes it humid?
Plants - no live plants, only plastic
Placement - it is in my room, no one but me every goes into my room. room temp is alway 80 or above
Location - Arizona, its always hot here

Thanks so much!!!!! I hooe i'm doing ok so far?

Quite young..

Handling - i try and handle her at least ten minutes a day so she becomes social. she never seems to mind or get agitated, and when she does i put her back.

Careful not to stress her

Feeding - 12 small crickets a day, i usually just buy from the store and immediatly stick them in her food cup.

Variety is the spice of life

Do you gut-load her feed?

Supplements - calcium sprinkled on food every day

You should also supplement with Vitamin D3 this should be as per instructions for amount and people say different frequency I say once every 2 weeks or twice a month.

Watering - i mist three times a day, and i always see her drink alot.

I would consider having a dripper also so for day hours there is always fresh water available.

Fecal Description - dark poo, white urates, not runny at all.

Sounds good :)

Nice

Sooner you can set up that screen enclosure the better.

Lighting - zoomed 5.0 uvb, lights on at 8 am, lights off at 8 pm

Heat

Temperature - not sure, but i do ave a heat bulb for her?

Shee needs a basking spot of at least 75F to 85F

Humidity - uhm i dunno, i spray three times a day, so she always has water, and i suppose it makes it humid?

Can not beat a Hygrometer, and aim to keep the humidity above 50.

Plants - no live plants, only plastic

Give consideration to live plants.. if you want a list of safe plants then message me :)

Placement - it is in my room, no one but me every goes into my room. room temp is always 80 or above

I would still make a basking spot :)

But looks like heating is not much of an issue for you. :)

Location - Arizona, its always hot here

Few things highlighted :) but think your doing ok :)

Welcome to the forum and the world of chameleons!

In addition to what you were told already...be careful with the dripper for such a young chameleon that water doesn't pool anywhere in the aquarium and that it doesn't drip too fast. They can aspirate water more easily than an adult.

Regarding feeding/gutloading the insects...insects such as crickets, roaches, locusts, superworms can be fed/gutloaded with a wide assortment of greens such as collards, escarole, endive, dandelion greens, kale, etc and veggies such as carrots, sweet red pepper, squash, zucchini, sweet potato, etc.

Regarding supplements...its recommended that you dust the insects at most feedings with a phosphorous - free calcium powder at most feedings to help make up for the usually poor ratio of calcium to phosphorous found in most feeder insects.

It's recommended that you dust twice a month with a phosphorous - free calcium D3 powder to ensure that the chameleon gets some D3 without overdosing it and leaving the chameleon to produce the rest of the D3 from its exposure to the UVB.

It's recommended that you dust twice a month with a vitamin powder that contains a beta carotene (prOformed) source of vitamin A. Vitamin A from prEformed sources can build up in the system and lead to overdoses but vitamin A from prOformed sources can't. This leaves you in charge of the prEformed vitamin A.

Hope this helps.

oh, so i just put up her cage and put her in it, she didnt get agitated, just stayed her nice pastel colour. she seems to like hanging from the top under her uvb bulb. Wit hthe calcium i do have the calcium with no d3, and i also have calcium with d3. once she gets bigger i am going to start feeding with silkworms, so i'll mix the calcium in their chow. i'll make sure next time i get paid to grab a thermostat and hygrometer. is there any way to make a dripper homeade instead of buying one?
thanks guys, you're so helpful!!!!

Dripper....

Get a Tupperware container that holds about 2ltr old ice cream tub is perfect..

Then get a compass, you know the kind you draw circles with.. not the sort you use to navigate, and make a small hole in the bottom, by small, I mean small..

Only let the very tip go all the way through, this will give you a drip rate of around 1 drip per second.. to big a hole and you end up with a water fall...

You don't want a water fall.

You also get the joy of eating through 2ltrs of your favourite ice cream...

OFC if your favourite ice cream is Ben & Jerry's or Hagen Das then it would probably be cheaper to buy a specialist dripper..

But the specialist drippers do not come packed with your favourite ice cream...

So good! She's loving her new cage, and she's eating like a little pig :) I have to keep going to the store to get more crickets!
