I wish the weather was nicer here so I can get everyone out for a photoshoot, but sadly it wont be til next year..

Enjoy!

How is the tracking going? What was the mating date, and how long from them until she drops babies? Are you getting really excited? She looks beautiful, but I don't know what gravid colors would be for her, is she showing yet? See chams are just like humans, you can ask if the female is showing yet.

You are doing an excellent job with your group.

Thanks everyone :)

Laurie, she was mated September 20th. Up until the beginning of the month she was steadily gaining weight every week to two weeks.. And since has only gained a few grams. Im am definitely excited, but trying not to get my hopes up too much in the event that she drops "duds" or nothing at all. Gestation is typically 5-7 months from what ive read and heard from other foreign breeders. So come spring time we shall find out :) I am unsure of their gravid coloration. Hoping for the best though!

She looks great Bob!

Definitely.....plump.

Here's a video of her from Aug, when I thought she might have been gravid due to her sudden increase in.....plumpness. :)

Great news & good luck Al. You might have the first clutch of U.S. born Brady's

Just to clarify, Bert Langerwerf was the first to breed Bradypodion thamnobates in the U.S. in 1992.

Thanks everyone!

Yes there has been a few who have been successful in the states before. As Snake mentioned Bert, almost twenty years ago. And I cant remember who else, ill have to check the Adcham article...

Not sure if this has much relevance, but over the weekend she seemed to be basking A LOT... Now Ive heard of gravid livebearers doing this more towards the end of gestation, if that is indeed the case she was probably gravid prior to me acquiring her. And she could drop a clutch within the coming months..

Or maybe I am just spending too much time in the cham room:rolleyes:

Sweet!!! Ive been wondering how the Bradys have been doing. Ive got my fingers crossed too!

Go Alex YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Fingers xd for you

Lol thanks guys!

She does have both the pretty and plump things going. Sure looks to me like she is cooking. Here is hoping.
