I'll tell you before everyone else. You need to get rid of the cage! Glass = Bad for chams! You need a screen cage.

why would you buy that cage and only use it for one month?!

for how much you spent on that exoterra you could have bought a screen cage off LLL and save some $.:)

i dont want to burst your bubble but from what i have herd foggers are not good to keep in glass cages it can cause mold and bacteria

All i can say is : loost the whole thing ! no fogger, no substrate, NO glass cage.

get a screen cage, you can have some fake plants in there but you will need live plants. trying to make a cham drink off of a silk plant is like you drinking off of a wet t-shirt. No substrate ! have a clean bottom you can bleach and clean easy. you can use the branches and vines but use real sticks too.

what kind of cham do you have ?

SHe is not even two months old. i Can not put her in a 65 gallon mesh terrium! and i had the tank from when i had my red eye tree frog i so i didn;t spent a all the money for nothing.
so no fogger

First off, I would get a screen enclosure for your cham. I got my screen reptarium from LLL Reptile online. They are awesome and prices are good. Chams needs the open air enclosures. Chams are very territorial and glass cages can cause them alot of stress due to seeing their reflection. I would get rid of the fogger and get yourself either a rock fountain (I have one) or a misting system. These will supply 2 things: moving water(they don't drink from standing water) and will help keep the humidity up. I hope this has been some help....Good luck!

stephen, constructive critiscm is usually best in my openion, as long as the poster takes it with a grain of salt, he needs to know that what he has could become a serious problem, or take there posts more serious and make him act.

in all honesty yes the enclosure its more suited torwards frogs or something of that sort. it does need to be changed within a month, or find a qay to screen the front in for more airflow, definatly get rid of the waterfall dealie.

You guys really need to reread the OP.She has a 65 gallon mesh cage she is going to put her cham in when it is a little older. This setup is just TEMPORARY.I do agree with everyone that chams need cages not aquariums. Just dont agree with everyone jumping on her back because they misread or didnt read the whole post. yeah I am new to this forum and am in the process of building my encloser. You have alot of knowledge and I respect that. I am sure you will remember me andwhen I post pics of my encloser you will try to pick it apart but I doubt you will be able to since I have been researching this for quite sometime now. Sorry to get of subject. Its to early to think

i agree that some sound a little negative, but it's not the intention of most people on here to come down on someone. they're just trying to help the owner have the greatest chance for chameleon survival and health, therefore creating a win win. Personally i think it's a pretty good measuring stick to put up a picture of an enclosure on here and just let everyone have at it.
