Are you going to breed them or just finish them off?
love those green monsters haha
i got a cup of them cant wait till they almost reach that size, for my cham to chomp on them
im hoping to breed them.
but this is my first time with trying sooo. not so sure how its going to work out.
right now i have the big fat ones with 24/7 food and sitting in a plastic bin.... no lid...
so heres hoping..
not really sure waht else to do...
and i want to try to breed my silkworms to but they are still babies,, none over an inch long, so thats a bit of time off. haha
The thing I was told about them to take out part of the guessing is take the ones you plan on breeding and put their food on a piece of wax paper just big enough for the food and place that on top of 6"+ damp loose top soil and then they'll just burry and pupate when they're ready
I just used a plastic sterilite tub about 6"x12"x6" deep and put sphagnum peat moss slightly damp about 4" deep. Put the worms in the peatmoss and they will bury themselves once they realize there is no food left for them. It takes around 30 days for them to emerge as moths. I also put them in my adult panther cages occasionally so they can be fed off when they come out. All my males love hawkmoths.
