becareful the amount of showers/day, as the whole thing is probably prettys traumatic to your cham especially if you just got it home.

one thing you may consider which may be kind of risky, is to just heavy mist your cham, and watch to see if some kind of drainage shows. If it does you would want to start some kind of antibiotic regiment or even get your cham to a vet. If it doesn't change you are back on the Diagnositic tree.

It may be some kind of mechanical trauma, in which case you are already doing the right things with your showers and misting. There was an earlier posting regarding saline solution flushing, where you would use saline an drip it over the eye. This may be a little more comfortable for your cham.

Other things to consider are a Vit A deficiency which even harder to Diagnose from what I read.

I would keep up with heavy misting and see what happens in the next 24hours.

Hope that helps and your chams makes a full recovery either way.

You could try the Terramycin for a few days but if did not show major improvement, I would get her to the vet. If you wait to long to go to the vet, the vet may not be able to help her....it could be to late. Jann

Try a soaked cotton ball with saline...gently press it onto the closed eye while squeezing some of the solution. She may have debris in her eye and needs a little more to wash it out. Be very gentle. Chameleons eyes are delicate.
