Hey folks, figured i'd join,

Had a Veiled chameleon for about 7 months now, i had snakes before so reptile care isn't new to me

I have been visiting this forum for a while and found it very helpful so, decided I would register

Ah yeah, forgot that bit, Kovu is his name, the girlfriend named him as she didn't like Greek god names i had for the snakes and that was the theme i was going to stick with

i really like the Enclosures And Supplies DIY threads here, Kovu is soon going to be rehoused in a VivExotic AX48 with screen mesh replacing the glass, ill be sure to start my own thread

Sweet, he's moving to his 'big boy' cage soon. Just want to mention he might have himself a little phase of being more territorial and aggressive soon. The 'teenage phase' thing seems to be more noticeable in male Veileds than other chams, and my Rinty was a bit tetchy for a few months.........
Kovu still looks pretty chilled out though, so you probably won't have problems, just so you know if he does get a bit meaner it's totally normal.

Yeah he has started to puff himself up when i open up the viv but a wax worm or bit of mango soon changes his attitude

Haha, same with mine. That's how he got 'addicted' to waxworms and went on a looonnng hunger strike.......be careful with them, they are basically just blobs of fat. One a week as a treat is often recommended, I was feeding 3 a week and it caused me problems so now I don't give him any.

Welcome! Isn't crazy how fast they grow? I mean look at the casque on that guy lol awesome looking Veiled he is very good looking!

maxttu, the name is from Lion king 2 ? I just tried searching kovu in the search bar and was surprised to see my post was the only one that came up.. also i seen your post on instagram hashtags and have added chameleonforum hashtags to mine, you have quite a few pics up there!!
