Crickets?

I either hold them by a leg, give it to him in a cup, or let it crawl on my hand. If you let it crawl on your hand, it might jump away. It depends on the cricket, really.

if you have a cricket duster, store bought, you can feed right out of there. or you can get a glass dish, at least 2 inches high (for inch long crickets) and take one back leg off of each cricket. they won't jump. de-legging is easy, just pinch the thigh of the big leg with tweezers and it falls right off

wow so im still new to all this i just dump 5-6 crickets in the enclosure and my little guy waits them out and as theyre climbing on the screen close enough he takes care of business, am i stressing him out this way? i used a feeding cup a few times when the crickets are a little small those suckers are quick but i saw him grab two at time and thought it might make him choke so i stopped whats the word on the streets?

When I first got my cham he was just about 3 months old and I cup fed him for a few days then some people suggested I wait untill hes a little older to cup feed so, what ive been doing for the past month is putting 10-15 crickets in his cage a day and watch him hunt. They usually all go up the side of the screen and he will sometimes climb to get them or wait but he doesn't seem stressed by them, he does his usual like basking, drinking and roaming.

uhh.. how about tossing in a handful and let them hunt them down.. thats what i have always done

lol, i don't know about others. But i make sure 100% of all feeders i offer my Cham is 100% EATEN or taken out!! I can't chance an escape! My wife would kill me !!

I can honestly say i have personally seen every single feeder my Cham has eaten.

LOL i feel your pain i try and do the same my wife hates the fact that i even have crickets in the garage and worms in the outside spare fridge! i recently placed an umbrella plant in the enclosure and saw a few crickets squeeze into the drainage holes at the bottom. luckily he catches most of them

Some crickets are chill enough to just set on your hand. When I have a particularly "crack-head" cricket, I just do my best to "knock them out" with a thouroughly vigorous dusting in the dusting jar. No, I've never had one go unconsious, but they usually chill out after that. :D
