whites tree frog

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting a white's tree frog, as I have a empty exo-terra that's just begging to be filled. Does anyone know if a 18” x 18” x 24 would be suitable for an adult one?

thanks, I'm still working on convincing my boyfriend. We do have most of the set-up already, so it wouldn't be expensive.

The pet shop recommended a 2.5 UVB bulb. I was hoping just to use my spare 5.0 UVB bulb. What would you advise?

5.0 is fine. As long as they can't get within 4 inches from the light it wont do any harm. if theyre too close then the processing of the vitmain and calcium from the light can be overwhelming for then and could irritate their skin. but 2.5 to 5 wont really make a difference. if you they reccommended a 2.5 and you have a 8 or 10.. thats a different scenario lol

Cool, I'll raise the hood up a bit if I get one. Not having to buy a new UVB bulb might convince my other half. I think he didn't like the idea of buying another new light when we've already got 2 going spare.

Ah, well yep the light you have is perfectly fine!!!

i've read frogs and toads do not need uvb. but a 2.0 5.0 won't hurt though
