What type of water to use?

I've already got a misting system for my basilisk, but what type of water should I use for a panther chameleon? I'm currently using RO/DI water for my basilisk enclosure. But, her water bowl is filled will dechlorinated tap water.

The RO/DI is really pure, so it hasn't clogged the nozzles in the 5 years it's been in use. But since the chameleon's drink from the drops, I'm reading that pure water shouldn't be used since it might be missing some minerals and such. If I use tap, won't it clog the nozzles with all the junk in the water. I know the tubes entering the RO unit have gotten quite gross.

What type of water are others using in their chameleons misters?

RO water is perfectly fine:) I've been using it for years with my chameleons, as long as you're supplementing minerals you should have no problems.
Chameleons drink mostly rain water in the wild, which I would assume has hardly any dissolved minerals in it.
My house is on a well with lots of clay in the water, so I don't really have a choice. I figure if it's okay for me to drink the chameleons should be ok too.
Bonus is it keeps the nozzles much cleaner as well like you said.

Great, if I can keep using the RO water then I'll do that. I like the fact that the nozzles stay nice and clean.

RO water is great. I have used it for all my birds, herps, plants for many years. Best thing I ever installed and it's saved so many other items from hard water damage.

For anything with a nozzle or o-ring, I use RO water. For regular drippers or spray bottles, I use the aquarium method: fill gallon jug with tap water. Place in dark spot for at least 24hrs to let chlorine evaporate, with top off.
