Veiled Chameleon Babies

Hey! Well, I finally got veiled chameleon babies 1 female and 1 male. I have not figured out names for them yet. I asked for juveniles, but received these very tiny little guys. They are eating and drinking, but I really do not want anything to happen to them so if anyone has any advice I will greatly appreciate it. The place where I ordered them from said they are 5-7 months, but there is no way?! I mean these guys can't be months old yet can they? So tiny...They will not be going outside for a very, very long time. My Leona was much bigger and she disappeared so that is not a mistake I will make twice.:( Any advice please. They are very healthy, arrived not looking stressed at all very vibrant green. :)

I second the above. JannB is very knowledgeable and helpful.

You are correct that there is no way they are as old as you were told. My first cham was that tiny when I got him - I would suggest setting up enclosures for them that aren't too tall if you haven't done so already. That way they won't fall too far if they lose grip on a branch.

Thank you! I bought them from Backwater Reptiles. They shipped them over night and I was able to track them the whole way here. They arrived packages well, and they were bright green so they didn't appear to be stressed at all. I selected juvenile so was a little shocked at how tiny they were. I emailed them and they said 5 to 7 months...maybe they meant weeks I'm note sure. Lol. Thank you and I will check out your blog. So far they are doing great, I'm hoping they continue to stay that way. :)
