I figured I'd share some pics of my tokay I took while cleaning his cage. I got him ( I think it's a him) about 3 months ago.

I love tokays but they are so grumpy! I tried to buy one but the guy at Petco said he was so bitey he didn't want to sell him to anyone!

I was at show a while back and watched a guy with a tote full of wild caughts. He was handling them like they were bearded dragons. I stopped and said...Do that again but i want to see that with another one. He reached in grabbed one and proceeded to handle it like it was a baby doll.

I have had one as a pet. I wore gloves and everytime satan himself would have to be put back in the cage latched to the glove. It pretty much became a part of the cage decor.

Pretty animal.

At the pet store I worked at when I was younger we always had at least two Tokays, generally more, I've had stitches, and shots, and several hospital visits from animals due to my improper handling but the only one I fear is the Tokay the glove thing made me laugh because I would always get yelled at for leaving a glove in the Tokay enclosures for the same reason. Gorgeous geckos but pure evil.

I am amazed anyone could handle them so easily. I've heard there is someone in California who breeds tame ones by handling them from day one, but if these were really wild caughts that is either amazing or they were all drugged up ha haa.

To the OP: He is gorgeous thanks for sharing!

O'believe me i was wondering what was put in the water. lol
I stood there in complete amazement. It tempted me to buy a couple from the group but i knew the little angels would not act the same to me. Knowing there strength and typical aggression. i was to shy to take the chance.

in thailand they are considered as pest and bad luck XD im from thailand but i always wanted to catch one :D
