Missing Tails in Panther babies

Hi folks,

Happy weekend!

I am considering adopting a new male panther and came across someone with a mixed litter. Strangely, all 3 males are missing the ends of their tails, the 2 females are fine. The owner said the males nipped each other.

Is this a likely explanation? Would this cause any long term issues for the Chams?

Attached are the photos I have so far, I’ve asked for more tail shots.

Advice would be much appreciated!

If you keep panther babies together they will nip off each others tails and sometimes even feet. I separated my babies within a week of hatching. They can live a long and healthy life with a nipped tail if that’s the only problem. I would highly recommend a fecal on any animal you get.
