Crossbreeding the different species (locales, morphs) can “cause phenomenons known from crossbreeding like infertility, lower hatch rate, low survival rate etc.”.

The reason I stopped breeding furcifer pardalis years ago, was because of the difficulty of pairing them up. Even then, I had noticed the differences in the heads of the males, the inconsistency in the health of the hatchlings with certain pairs, failure to produce eggs in some cases, etc.
It now all makes sense as to why those difficulties occurred…11 species (maybe?).
