Supplements for baby veileds?

I was wondering when I should start adding supplements to the crickets for my baby veiled chams. The oldest are approx. 3 weeks old with the youngest hatching yesterday. The younger ones are in a separate enclosure than the older ones.

So I just wasn't sure when was a good time to start using supplements, if there are some that shouldn't be used with very young veileds and the frequency of using supplements with baby veileds.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated !!

Thanks ... Dyesub Dave.

For veiled which are fast growers you can start now or you can feed it to the pinheads. also 3 x a week with calcium and 1 x every week with the vitamins would be a good start.

Yeah ... I wasn't planning on using very much at all. I just thought that perhaps they should get some once in a while. These chams are indoors as it's still a little cool up here to keep them outside.

I recently got some calcium WITHOUT D3 as I believe I read that it's better to use that and just occasionally use the calcium with D3 if your chams are indoors. Does this sound about right to you??

The calcium supplements that I'm using are both from Rep-Cal And the vitamin supplement that I have is Zoo-Med Reptivite which I beleive is similar to the Rep-Cal Herptivite!

Thanks ... Dyesub Dave.

I would not use the D3 calcium all the time use it like once a week or once every two weeks its a vitamin.

How does that stuff work? Do they drink it or absorb it or both??

nah, i throw the days portion of crix in a small cricket keeper, spray a lil bit on em, wait 15 seconds, then throw in cage, like directions. i find it easier day to day than bags, dust, and mess.

im thinkin its good stuff, pure calcium, 3 different forms or it, dries in seconds on feeder.

no one else seems to be using it, hope its just as effective. (dust falls off after time, this stuff wont, advantage over dust IMO).
