    Nope, Carpets are Furcifer lateralis, Furcifer minor are sometimes called the "lesser chameleon" although its quite rare to hear them called this. Same Genus different species.

    forgot to mention if this animal was imported from mad and happened to come from one of the erm... "conservation farms" then it could well be anything as all locales are chucked in together.

    i think it could be a freak nosy be as they tend to show a hell of alot of red on some parts of the island! other than that it could only be a slightly odd looking ambanja.

    thankyou....yes they are the same species, the darker coloured one with the rostral processes is the male and the bright ones are the females.
