Hello! I quickly read through your question and pictures, and have read through a bit of the other great advice you have received from others who are much more knowledgeable than I am. I just want to chime in with my own personal experience. I recently had these spots appear on my panther as...
Hello! If cost isn’t an issue I highly recommend Tamura! My zen cage I started out with was terrible. It didn’t have any way to mount things inside, it leaked from every corner when I misted, and was terrible for drainage. When you build the Tamura cage every corner is sealed with silicone to...
Hello! So I am looking for a reputable source for silks for my panther. I just ran out and my guy refuses to eat Dubia. I have other feeders to hold me over but really would like more silks. I am placing an order from somewhere that is a pre order 4-6 weeks out. I was hoping to find some more to...
It was very easy to drill through. I just went slow and stead to ensure I had no cracking. I had no trouble at all. I used a small drill bit just to leave enough room for the zip tie to fit. My pots are flush to the sides so I’m not worried about water damaging anything. However I definitely...
@PlanetRemulak so I YouTubed “installing dragon strand ledges to hybrid cage”. I found the dragon strand channel installing it on their own hybrid cage. Now i saw someone saying they’re not exactly pvc sides, like my zen. But I figure it would still work the same! Here’s the link :
I don’t know if it’s already been said but I am fairly confident you can install dragon strand ledges into the zen pvc walls. I watched a video on it just the other day. ☺️
Also, I have a zen habitat enclosure, and I drilled small holes into the side and use zip ties to secure my pots and branches.
I used multiple zipties. But I agree with @Carloscruz , dragon ledges are a safer option. Also, don’t make the same mistake I did and mount them sideways. 😅 go for a vertical mount.
I will ask about the conditions in which they were living. I have the workers number now.
I did call my local vet that I take my other pets to, and they said they were able to send out his fecal sample to check for parasites. That was two days ago. So I am just waiting on those results to come...
I am so glad you responded to this! I actually went to the store personally today because I am so up in arms on how to get my temps right without dropping my humidity. While I was there a worker pulled me aside and said that he was very angry when he came in Monday and saw that someone sold me...
No, I haven’t noticed any gaping except for when the mister is on. Except for the first day when he got on his basking branch he did it towards the heater. But other than that one time it’s only happened when the mister was on.
I tried to grab one but of course he saw the phone and said “no pictures”. He has done it at every misting session today, so I will try to catch it next time.
Hello!! Today I noticed my panther gaping towards his mist king when it went off. Is this a way that they absorb fluids? Or could he be angry at it? Lol I just read horror stories on gaping and wanted to know if anyone else has seen this or if it’s a cause for concern.
Also, my humidity is...
Ok! So maybe he is not dehydrated. His urate was orange tinged. Phwew! Relief. So this is the first full day of all live plants. Today when his mist king came on he went crazy drinking from his leaves. This is the first time I’ve witnessed him drink like this! So that was super exciting. And I...
He has not eaten since he came home Sunday. I offer food twice a day and he has not took to it at all. I left a cup in there w feeders today while I’m at work in hopes that he will take to a meal while he is home alone. 🤞
As far as the pots, they’re very secure. I checked the dirt today and it...
I just meant bill recommended the double pot method. I saw the sideways pot on a YouTube video and liked the idea of the plants growing downward and outward. So, what I did to secure the pots was double zip tie the larger to the enclosure wall. Then I took the smaller pot with the plant inside...
