    Feeding

When I brought Dobby home she only ate 1 cricket the first day, then 4 on the second day, 6 on the third day, ten on the fourth day and today she ate 8. It was such a relief for me when we got past those first few days and she started eating more. I'm sure your little guy is just getting used...

    Introducing Dobby

Thanks for the explanation Ryan. When I went back to the petstore the second time after reading up more on Panthers I wondered if he might be a she because he was so small, but I thought maybe he was just a little delayed or slowler developing but I guess not. She's been at the pet store...

    Introducing Dobby

Hi everyone, I just thought I would share some pics of my new little guy Dobby. He's around five months old and I've had him for four days now. So far things are going well. He hasn't taken to cup feeding yet and so the only way I've been able to get him to eat is to hand feed him which he...

    New Panther Chameleon

I just went out and found a bird food dish at a pet store near my house. It's a little deeper that the cup I was using and also has a little perch on the front which is neat. I put 3 cricket in and so far no escapes. Warpdrive, i agree, he's probably a little stressed from the change and...

    New Panther Chameleon

Thanks JannB, I'm going to try using a slightly bigger cup than I was using and hope that helps limit the number of escapes. It took me quite a while last night to hunt down the ones that had escaped, even then I still found myself getting up in the night and checking on him:)

    New Panther Chameleon

Thanks for the reply. He arrived at the Petstore at the beginning of December, I was told he was about half the size he is now. From what I could tell the Chameleons at the store were well taken care of. I was told he was a good eater(about 8-10 crickets a day) but that he just seemed to be...

    New Panther Chameleon

Hi everyone, Two days ago I brought home my first chameleon, he's a panther and I absolutely love him. I posted last week about seeing him when I went to look at a veiled and after doing some more research on Panthers I just couldn't resist his sweet, easygoing personality. I do have one...

    Newbie looking for advice

Thanks Julirs, I guess it really does depend on the individual chameleon. This little guy was just so sweet I'm already thinking of when i could get back out there to pick him up:) Thanks Docility, After the guy at the store tried to get the veiled out he asked me if I wanted to try. I...

    Newbie looking for advice

Hi everyone, I've been lurking around the forum for a while now before finally registering yesterday. I first thought about getting a chameleon a little over a year ago but after a lot of research I thought it would be better to start off with something a little easier as it would be my first...
