I don't think there is a clear formula as each cage is totally different. You need to get at least one (or more) hydrometers and measure humidity. Then program based on humidity level and enough water for your panther to drink.
I keep increasing my misting frequency till:
1) Leaves always have droplets (for drinking) till 1 hour before bed
2) Humidity stays above 50% (veiled)
My cage is 36x24x40 and open on top and front. That means I must every other hour from 7 till 5 for 60 seconds.
Yeah I did 36x24x40. It's the largest I could talk the wife into letting me build.
I think if people realized how easy it is to build a cage using the window screen method their chams would have bigger cages.
so everything says, for a male veiled, you need a 24x24x48 cage. Why 48"?
Is it the interior height that is required or that the top of the cage needs to be above eye level?
My male has a 40" tall and still only stays at the top 24".
I have the entry mistking kit and have two nozzles on the system. The first nozzle sprays 2-3 times more than the second. Is there a way to level it out?
Length of tubing from pump to nozzle 1 is 6' length between nozzles is 2'.
Here are a couple photos. Only one spot remains.
BEFORE
AFTER
The two smaller ones behind the eye are almost completely gone. The larger one below the mouth is smaller.
I guess it was an injury of some sort that will heal some each shed.
I added corrugated plastic board covered in vinyl on the sides and back of mine. The panels are on the outside of the screen.
Here is a picture of one.
This pic was before i covered the outside of the panel. You could cover the inward facing side with any color vinyl or print. Real tree...
