    Gravid female concers

I may do that. How long do you think it would be ok to leave her in the garbage can?

    Gravid female concers

All the pics were taken at the same time just from different angles. My flash made it look dark. Here is a picture of what she looked like for a while after she mated. Then she just turned all pinks and stayed that way since.

    Gravid female concers

I'm 99% sure she is gravid. She is definitely more rotund than she normally is. All of the pictures of gravid females about to lay they seemed like they were about to burst and you could see the eggs poking through their tummy. Sometimes I can see a little out line of an egg or two but nothing...

    Gravid female concers

So I bred my panther chams 28 days ago today. They did the dirty deed at least 3 times. She has been very active walking around but never actually goes in her laying bin. I have the cage covered for privacy also. For a good while her colors were dark with peach spots, now she is almost all...

    Discoid roaches wanted?

Thanks! I will send them an email shortly. I've stopped buying crickets online I had ordered some on two separate occasions from different companies and all arrived dead. There was no ventilation and it was really hot out. :/

Mother-in-law found a Panther in her garden!

That's crazy! I've heard stories of people losing their chams but I can't say I've ever heard of anyone just randomly finding one. I would definitely not send him back out. Try to find someone to take care of him. Good luck!

    Best egg substrate

What is the best or most preferred material used in egg containers? I've heard of vermiculite, pearlite and even coco peat. Does anyone mix different ones?

    Misting times

12 times a day is too much. I spray my cages down by hand 3-4 times a day, letting the cage dry completely before spraying again. If your cage stays wet it can become moldy and bacteria can grow and harm your chameleon.

Help! How to keep banded crickets in tub! And discoid question.

I would go with the clear packaging tape. As for the discoids I would use the lid but cut a section out ant put the screen in so it makes it breathable and ensures no escapes for your mother's sake but also use the tape in that container. Where may I ask did you get your discoids? I live in FL...

    Water for Drinking

I had a problem finding a way for my male to get water. He didn't drink from the leaves only from a syringe. I am trying to wean him off that. I had gotten one of those Bio Bubble drinking fountains that were made for chameleons but he never went near it. PetSmart has a leaf dish that I rigged...

    Discoid roaches wanted?

I am looking for Discoid roaches. I live in FL so I can't have Dubias. I've looked lots of places and everyone seems to have run out. If anyone has any they are willing to sell or know of anyone who does I, and my chams, would appreciate it!

    Mold in cricket egg tub

Thanks for all the advice.I pick out dead crickets and parts daily from the cage but I must have missed some legs or something. I think I will try vermiculite soon and see how that does. fluxlizard: Do you add water at all during the 10-12 days the eggs are incubating?

    Mold in cricket egg tub

Is there a type of substrate that would be better for the egg bin?

    Mold in cricket egg tub

I found mold spots in the bin where the crickets lay their eggs. Is there anything I can do to make it go away? I'm using topsoil. I spray once a day and it has ventilation.

    Chameleon fountain

I guess I will have to get me some magnets and try that out. Thanks for the pictures. Mine isn't noisy at all. Especially if you adjust the flow settings to lower.

Chameleon prefers water from a syringe?

I still do the regular misting sessions and leave the cantina on in hopes he will use it and just in case he needs a drink he can have that option.

    Chameleon fountain

I know what it looks like. I have one myself. Just interested to see how you got yours attaches to the cage. I used parachord, a piece of copper wire and an extra light stand I had. I couldn't find a way to make use of the back part where it has that thing you slide the suction cup into.
