    Butterworms

Are butterworms like waxworms where they should only be fed occassionally or are they ok or a more regular basis? Are they nutritional? Also can they be gutloaded? I have ordered just a small amount for my cham mainly for variety and to see if he likes them. :)

    falls

Sometimes my cham if I let him out in the sun will just walk off things. Today he walked right off the ledge of a wooden bench and fell on the ground. The other day he was in his fiscus tree and walked right of the end of the branch and fell a good foot to the ground. I picked him up and...

    Superworms

MY cham has gone of crix. He shed about 2 weeks ago and wont touch them since then. I have been feeding him gutloaded superworms and twice a week he gets a couple of waxworms. I have got horn and silkworms on order which shall be here in a few days but last time I had them he was turning his...

    Tasting or thirsty?

I mist my cham 3 times a day and he has a little dripper on for a few hours as well. I mist for a good 3 - 5 mins and see him drink regulary (as long as he is in the mood to let me watch him drink). His poops have the white bit in it so I take that as an indication that he is drinking enough...

    loss of appetite?

Sorry if this has been asked before... My 8 month old Panther seems to have slowed down his appetite and is off his food. For the first 6 weeks he was eating 6-10 crickets a day (sometimes more) and then in the afternoon having silkworms or the occassional wax worm as a treat. I free feed...

    drinking

I saw George drink for the first time today..he was on the side of the cage just drinking up the droplets after a good misting. He is normally really shy about drinking around me...that made me happy. I know it may sound strange but I feel that is a huge step for him feeling comfortable...

    gutloading

Hi! A quick question on gutloading crix. If George is fed in the am should I gut load earlier in the morning or the night before? At the moment the crix are kept in a large crix holder and have a supply of water and a commercial gutload grain mixture. I am then putting his daily...

    superworms

I just read that you should only give mealworms as treats...which I do but I was wondering about superworms the same and are they good nutritionally for chams? I haven't fed any to my boy yet....they seem a bit big for him still.

George is an 8 month old Panther. He finished his last shed 3 weeks ago. Is it too early for him to start a new shed?

    Biting

I have a quick question on biting. I have had George for a month now, he is getting used to us & his new surroundings but after my little scare with him and thinking he may be ill I realize that sometime in the future I may have to pick him up to handle him (feeding meds etc). He is around...

    sick chameleon?

Hello, I am new to this forum as I have just been given a young male Panther Chameleon, I have had him for a month and he was purchased through a reputable breeder and I haven't had any problems with him. He eats a variety of food (crickets, silk worms, wax worms, phoenix worms etc) and is...
