I'm her boyfriend. He wasn't a very active hunter and he didn't seem to recognize the food we offered him unless we made it immoblie in some way. Apparently he is doing better, but I haven't seen our little guy in two days :( :(
Haha.. I live for the short moments when I get to grab a cricket or two by there antennae. Cruel, but I feel like it makes keeping those damn things worth it. I like the roaches much better. I found one on top of my chams cage earlier today. I was like "Hey little buddy, what are you doing...
I've been keeping my roaches and letting them multiplly. I rotate carrots and apples everyday and I give them a high-protien fish flake (becuase I don't have fish, but I have fish food) and they seem to be doing fine.
I really don't like crickets though.
Yea. I always tried to put the food where the silkies aren't lol. My petri dish is pretty well covered. I moved them over, and luckily only about three of the ~250 fell through the cracks. Poor little guys.
I only handle my female veiled when I need to clean her cage or take her to the vet or so. She doesn't seem stress any at all when I'm around. I also try to only watch her when shes out in the open. If shes hiding I leave her alone.
I hatched a batch my first batch of silkies about a week ago, and now that they are about a half inch long I'm trying to move the little guys out of their petri dish and into their regular box with the plastic canvas. I'm having trouble moving them though.
I've tried putting down fresh...
Molly probably isn't spending to much time at the bottom so shes probably not using the clamped light very much. You could probably remove it if you want to, but its probably giving some of your plants light at the bottom of the cage.
