    Warning of a petco bulb

Glad no one got hurt. Cheap usually means no good. Same as the cheaper coil type UVB bulbs. They have not been fixed. Still causing lots of eye problems with tortoises. If they were actually fixed, they haven't hit most shelves yet.

    Always shedding

Holy cow. I thought after a year they slowed down. Oops, I'm gonna have a monster. I will try to post a new pic of him. Maye he's normal size. Here's a couple pics. The first pic is closer to when I got him and the second is approx. a month ago. In person he looks bigger then in the pics...

    Always shedding

My veiled turned 1 in February. It seems he is shedding all the time. He just got over a shed about two weeks ago and is now shedding again. What would make him shed so often or is this much shedding normal? Thanks Barb

    Chameleon and Frogs

I wish they could live in the same enclosure, but I'm sure the frogs would be eaten. The frogs can have UVB, but its not needed. Mine don't have any and won't get any in the chams cage either as its blocked from them. The only thing I have seen different since putting the frogs in with the...

    Chameleon and Frogs

I am not sure what is so different between their needs. Both need a higher humidity and both need warm day temps, cooler night temps. Now I do know the veiled can take much cooler then the frogs, but that is accounted for.

    Chameleon and Frogs

The frogs are in their own cage, inside the veiled cage. The frogs need a higher humidity, as the veiled does. The frogs also need approx. the same temps, however have their own heat source as they are too far away from the veileds heat source. I did it just because really. Also, to help...

    Chameleon and Frogs

Here is my question. My male veiled has a large cage. I have two red eyed tree frogs in a terrarium. The back is covered and half of both sides. The front has the doors. I put the frogs cage on a stool inside the Veiled cage. I have the frogs light protected from my veiled burning himself...

    Mean male veiled

I have a mean veiled too. He turned one in feburary, however, I only got him in January. I do wear gloves, but I have noticed that he is real mean when I first try to approach him. Then when I actually get him out, he settles a bit and isn't quite as mean. I still am cautious, as I do think...

    animal cruelty.. what to do?

I don't have much time, as my ipad battery is dying, so I ha don't been able to read everyone's post. However, you have to turn these people into the authorities. Just from what the few pictures you did get, the conditions are unexcuseable. Report them ASAP

    Where do I stand?

BTW, I don't know anything about this mouth rot. However, it doesn't look to ad in the pic. I would email the member vets listed in a different post and try to email them some better pics. I would venture to guess, it could be treated with meds. That's just my opinion.

    Where do I stand?

I would talk to the pet store first. Lots of them will pay for the vet bill, if the animal is given to them, to take to the vet, and them you can get him back after they have treated it. Second, I would for sure let them know, with the vets written diagnosis in, what they sold you. If they...
