Repti-fogger

Hey guy, I'm thinking of getting a repti-fogger, but I want to hear your guys opinion on the product. Do you recommend it, or are there better products out there. Let me know, any information or advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

I've had one about a week, and after 3 days it started making this horribly loud noise, like an amplified electric shaver. Luckily, it was an easy fix...if you open it up and rotate the fan around, it seems to stop it. Otherwise, it seems to work alright.

I haven't used this product but you will also need a mister. It's not good to have continuous high humidity as your viv needs to dry out between mistings. Humiditiy needs to spike and fall several times a day.:)

I have a bottle mister, and a dripper. I could put a timer on the fogger.
I also was looking at the mist king which comes with a timer. Am I better of getting the mist king?
I work during the day, so I want something that could keep optimal humidity when I'm at work.

I use this for my geckos. it helps with humidity, but I wouldn't use it for my chams.

it doesn't make a mist, just a fog, and the bottle is so small you have to refill it every day if you run it for your cham.

If you want to make it so you don't have to mist by hand, get a mistking.

worth the money. trust me.

The repti fogger will help humidity, but wont provide your cham with anything to drink.

I also have a mistking and I couldn't do without it as I work shifts. The bucket can be as large as you want!:)

As for question on the fogger, works well! Chams are nervous with the fog, so I gave it to the tree frogs. Atleast it gives their terrarium a cool look...

ya, no

I dont like the one I have for a big tank.. for a small tank glass, maybe it would be better but it barely puts out anything for a large tank..

I have one that is brand new minus one test run and Im scrapping it for a cool mist humidifier from walmart.

My mistking is the bee's knees though

If you plan on using the fogger to boost the cage humidity a bit between your regular spraying sessions when you are home, it can do that for you if you set it to cycle with a timer. I don't know how big its reservoir is, but you don't want to let it run dry.

However, if you plan on having the fogger provide drinking water droplets it won't do that for you. You'll still need to spray a couple of times a day.

If you travel or are gone long hours on most days and your house tends to be dry a MistKing auto mister may be the better choice.

thanks for all the info and help. after what you guys have said i think the mistking is the best way to go. thanks again

Do you guys heat up the water before misting, or will room temp water be fine?
Also, I'm going to make a drainage system what should I used for sealing? Will regular silicon be fine?
