i was wondering if a small bonsai tree would be ok for them to go out side on?

i figured i would take mine outside for some natural light and fresh air and wanted to know if this would be ok to put them on

it would be easily moved inside and out plus it would be a small tree that woldnt get huge or anything

if this is not safe what do you guys take your pygmies outside on?
or do you take them out at all?

i know some of the other chams are taken outside(and mine would be supervised of course) but i figured the fresh air and natural sunlight would be good for them

i just wasnt sure if anyone did this b/c they are small

(oh i dont have the chams yet but i just wanted to know ahead of time) i have been doing alot of research and stuff but i havent really found anything on this

I don't think handling them much is a good idea at all, even to just take them out. They're so fragile! They'll probably be happier in their little terrerium .

I just don't mess with the pygs much. I don't take them outside-there are Anoles here that would happily snack on them. I just leave them be in their habitiat-feed and water, and dig up eggs to incubate.

They aen;t really baskers either. If you were to take them out it would be best to provide a dense shrub they can hide inside to stay cool and get out of the sun. Also make sure they are watered all during the day when its warm because they need pretty high humidity

It would be cute to have pygmeleons out on display in the garden

you can handle them, just not for long periods of time. your pgys will let you know when its too much, dark brown will change to very light brown, or yellow when you've pushed them too far. also the minute stress they will get from moving from inside to outside, or handling for short periods of time is probably good for them. and do not use a bonsai. it wont provide enough cover, i would also use a low dense bush that wont let more then a couple sporadic inches of sunlight come through

they arent as fragile as you would think, dont forget the defense mechanism of faking dead and FALLING to the floor like a dead leaf. the animals are stout little buggers
