His weight seems to fluctuate a lot. I am trying to find a way to keep it stable, but I think it's just when he poops he loses ~.5g.. It's kind of funny. He hasn't lost a lot of weight, hasn't gained a lot of weight. I will try to weigh him tonight if I get batteries for my scale on the way home and let you know what his weight is. He got down to 18.1 at one point in time and up to 21.2. It's really odd. Any idea why he's doing that or is it just because they are so small and delicate?

Normally a fluctuation of a few grams isn't anything to be concerned about so don't worry yourself too much over it. Just ensure he's not losing any more than that.

Also, males of the "fimbriatus complex" (which includes henkeli and sikorae) are generally smaller than their female counterparts. Sometimes I think my males are anorexic when resting next to a plump female.

Of course, Sang's female sikorae is absolutely massive! It makes me laugh. What is the average weight of your male sikorae?

Thanks for the reassurance.

We don't have any sikorae's at the moment, but our male henkeli's (which are a wee bit bigger than the sikorae's) run anywhere from the 30's to 50 grams.

Yeah, females do get substantially bigger (and quicker) than the males.
