Okay everyone, so im happy to say my new Rieppeleon brevicaudatus arrived earlier this week and they seem in great health. Eating and drinking from day one!

It only took a few days for them to feel comfortable to start "exploring" eachother. I actually have a video clip of the male and one female going at it, but I dont know how to upload a video on here.

So I was supposed to receive 1.2 R. Brev, and I have a concern that I may have gotten 2.1 Brev. Not sure.

What do you guys think?

I know for sure, 1 male and 1 female, but the 3rd is hard to tell. It has patterns closer resembling a male, but its tail is shorter.

Any way, what do you guys think?

The first picture is def. the male, the 3rd pic is def. a female. The second picture is the chameleon in question.

Can I ask where you got them. I have no clue about the sex, but I am getting ready to get a few as well and trying to decide where to get them.

I got the brevs from First Choice Reptiles, he just got in 300 pygmies. Nick is a great guy and gets some of the best stuff from Tanzania with a reasonable price tag. Hes hard to get ahold of though. So if you send him an email it will take a while for him to respond.

Which pygmies are which in the pictures? And it's really hard to try to sex them when only the first half of the body is visible. Really need pictures of the whole body including tail.

wow these are hard to sex without tail. anyway they're BEAUTIFUL!

I took a realllllyyyy good look. im pretty sure the "questioned chameleon" is a male.

I would say male because of the dorsal crenulations. Look at the female. Her dorsal is straight and smooth.

Okay I got some better close up photos with their tails

Does this help with sexing?

Those are much better pictures! You can clearly see the difference in tail bases and dorsal's. You have 1.2.
