I got an 5 month old Male Ambilobe BlueBar from Northwest Chameleon a few days ago. I was asking for one sire by Trasher but she didn't have any male so I got the one she recommended. Which was father by Trix Jr. The nice lady name sandy is awesome, she took 30 minutes of her time to take photos of the little guy for me before I bought it. Well this is my Panther Chameleon, I decided to name him Damon. I only been raising chameleon for 4 months a male and female jackson's. Well I had the urge to get more so I got a Panther. I made a mistake and got a cage way too big. He's about 4 inches long living in a 24 x 24 x 48 Screen Cage. Do you guys think I should just buy another smaller cage that suit him better. He is eating crickets and just hiding most of the time. Here's a few pic of him and the enclosure.

Caught him by surprise while he was eating.

I'm using a hibiscus in the front and a schefflera behind it. Thinking about taking the hibiscus out look a little pack.

He ran and start hiding right away as soon as I put him in the cage.

I'll take any comment and suggestion.

If he is eating fine then I would leave him in the cage he is in. He will quickly grow into it. I would also suggest as the above poster did to put a plant stand under your plant to give more coverage in the top of the cage. You want to make sure he can close enough to bask in the UVB light and feel safe.
