I have only a few chameleons left from this amazing pairing, they hatched on 8/7/22 and are growing fast. Females are $300 and males at $375 in addition to shipping costs. These are spectacular bloodlines, with the sire Kublai being from iPardalis's Zanaka x Sunny pairing and the dam Luna from...
I'm in the same boat but its better over-planted than under! At least to some extent lol, but pothos are a great cheap plant that grow quickly and are easy to wrap around branches.
Sounds like you've got a lot of work ahead of you.😄 I love custom enclosures made out of furniture but I'm not the most DIY-guy lol, looking forward to seeing how it turns out!
Apparently this was a gravedigger, but if this works then that's a great post to have on the site. A good misting system can be pricey and if you're only getting one pet chameleon this could make it more affordable to take care of.
They may be safe, but I personally don't use any plants that have any trichomes, prickly parts or anything that may be an irritant just to be cautious.
I don't think that your cage looks too dark, at least for the chameleon it is perfectly fine. If this is a question for your own viewing then that's different, maybe set up an LED panel that you can turn on just when viewing otherwise I'd leave it.
You do not need to keep your whole room hot and humid with a screen cage. They need their own heat bulb on top of the cage and a misting system which will provide the ideal conditions inside for them.
