So HD sells Perlite in little 5lb bags, and vermiculite in 50lb bags. I definitely dont need 50lbs of vermiculite. Im wondering the difference, if any, and if I should try to find some vermiculite instead of the perlite i just bought.

Just called cages.net. He is not willing to sell any lengths of mesh whatsoever nor give out his supplier for it, and wasn't super friendly about it either. Fantastic.
If anyone wants to split a roll of 5 or 6 mesh wire from TWP id be interested in getting some...
Yeah that is perfect and actually the only stuff I found on a web search...problem is you need a $75 minimum order (and the stuff is $5 a square foot!)...im a college student...need I say more?
Hey guys,
So ive got my frame for my new cage built, minus sealer, plexi, etc(hopefully by next weekend). I am trying to find some screen material. I want to go with something other than mesh screening, but took a look at hardware cloth and it only comes in 1/4" squares. Does anyone know of...
I do to my local grocery stores and fill up containers of UV treated, ultra filtered crystal geyser water for like $0.30 cents per gallon out of a vending machine thing. I think the local fish store is the same, but its easier to go to the machine for me.
I have a very simple setup, which cost about $50 to make. I bought a roll of refridgerator tubing (the white hard line stuff), a .8GPH on barb fogger, an aquarium heater, 1 gallon of crystal geyser water (in clear jug), a digital timer, and a SHURFLO gold seriesbeverage pump, model...
Hey all-
Im going to build a chameleon cage this coming weekend, and was thinking of making it 24" wide, 16" deep, and 48" tall. Is this too small of a floor footprint?
She is currently in a 16.5"x16.5"x30" screened cage...
thanks!
Thanks guys. I think, depending on what happens I think i would be comfortable leaving her for a week w/o food. She has an automatic mister that mists 3 times/day, so im not too worried about water. I have gone about 5 days w/o feeding her before, but that was b/c teh local store didnt get any...
ive got an automatic mister...not a problem
I saw somewhere where it used like a milk carton with paper towel, teh crickets would climb up and get eaten at that point by the cham??
