    Hello guys.

Welcome and nice veiled you got there.

    Idea?

You can write about foreign born Americans (especially those who come from oppresive nations) that have made themselves into millionaires. I saw a Dateline or MSNBC special on it. They kept mentioning life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. The founder of Panda Express is one of the people they...

    Komodo Dragon

I'm not interested in buying her, because I don't have the space and knowledge to keep her. I am interested in how you are able to keep such a giant lizard. She is pretty cool looking though. Is she in an indoor glass vivarium? Maybe someday, when I have my mini-zoo. Also wouldn't she be...

    links for show dates

The IHS holds shows once in a while. Here's link to their website: http://international-herpetological-society.org/oldsite/ If you look at the midland branch event page, they listed their annual show for Saturday July 19. Is Doncaster in that area? There was a show there last year.

    links for show dates

Here's the event page at kingsnake.com. Kingsnake.com is where all the different type of herp enthusiasts go to. I don't think the chameleon forums in kingsnake is as active as this forum though. http://www.kingsnake.com/events.html

    Trade Show Pricing???

I'm thinking of going to San Diego show as well and it'll be my first show as well. SoCaliSun, even though the chameleons aren't that much of a bargain (but $25-50 less and no shipping = $75-100), since you're interested in snakes as well. That's where the bargains are in these reptile shows.

    Lost a cham

I don't think the forum rules allow people to post their negative experience with businesses/breeders. I do however would like to know, so please PM me if you want to give it out on a 1-to-1 basis. I'm looking to get some panther chameleons real soon. It'll be my first time buying one.

    new member . Hi

I'm new here as well, but from what I've read from other posts, they tend to leave the eggs in the sand bucket/pit. No need to place them in an incubator. The more experienced people will hopefully chime in later.

    Veiled Fetus *photos*

Oh I know about keeping the orientation of the egg always the same is important. In the snake hobby, the breeders mark the top of the egg with a marker and keep it in that position when they transfer, candle or check on the eggs.

Slight signs of Gular Edema in my veiled

Not sure if this applies, but too much sodium can also cause edema in chameleons because it helps retain too much water.

    flower plants

Orchids? I thought they were dangerous? (well to humans at least)

    How old is she?

Cool thanks, well I ordered both a 12x24x24 and a 24x24x48 (it was on sale at LLL reptile). I'll see how small (or large she actually is) sometime next week. She's definitely going in the smaller cage first. I was hoping she'd out grow that so when I get a panther, it could go in the smaller...
