(S)he looks better today, Nice white urates, although the worms don't look fully digested.. I didn't clean it up yet just spotted them from the cage. I'm just glad they passed after reading those articles, I was afraid feeding her dehydrated would cause a big problem. I haven't fed anything...
Thanks for the links- they were very helpful.
She had access to the plant's soil, and now I have repotted them and replaced the top few inches with sand.
Okay, where he is hanging out is about 87 degrees, but his highest basking spot is 95 degrees.
I soaked him in pedialyte for a couple minutes today and fed another wax worm. He is actually looking better, I don't think he was drinking before! so he is probably filling out a little from the...
I thought it was a C. chameleon, but now i'm not sure it isn't C. africanus. If so, it is a female- no spurs.
Supplements are Ca 3x week, Ca+D3 2x week, and vits- 1x week, one day off.
I'll get the temp tomorrow when the lights are back on..
Ha, sorry!
I'm sure there will be re-runs. It was all in Madagascar. I don't remember all the species but he said they showed the largest cham in the world and the smallest, and there was a pair of panthers at the end.

He is getting skinny, I can...
Special plant lights are not necessary. Regular full spectrum "daylight" bulbs will work for plants. If the plants in the enclosure are high light plants, or you have a large enclosure the addition of another bulb may help. Daylight bulbs (tubes anyway) are safe for chameleons. I have a 2...
I have read that chams WILL eat them. Now, how often they should, i dont know. here is the nutritional info I found on a fish forum...

the thing with earthworms is, they are filled with dirt so you would probably want to squeeze them...
I use two plastic cups, a big one inside a smaller one. they both have pin holes poked in them, but because the space between the cups creates a vacuum it drips out slowly and all the water still comes out. It doesn't hold as much as a bigger container or course, so I just fill it up 2 or 3...
I found them to be easy to gut load as well. I kept them in wheat germ as bedding and they totally devoured all the apples and carrots I put in there...
Too bad my cham won't eat them!
