I believe that ivy is one of those plants not to use because if it ingests it, it's not healthy and can cause indigestion. The crickets might eat it too and then indirectly give it to the chameleon.

Yeah I'm running an 18"18"24" Exo Terra with the mesh screen for my pygmy and he's been doing fine. I did get the Rainforest Habitat Kit, so it came with the stuff they felt were good like some vines and stuff, so I'd look into getting some vines for above ground "freeways."
