mantis anyone???

im looking for a mantis breeder..anyone know of any....thanks

What kind of mantis breeder? Just plain old Chinese/European/Carolina? What are you looking for?

I have collected about 20-25 ooths from my yard and local parks...did you try looking for them in your area?

sac as in Sacramento?

I assume he lives here. I haven't really seen any ooths around my neck of the woods, but I also haven't really been trying too hard. Maybe I can go look tomorrow if it's not raining.

Look on light colored walls -easier to spot-, birchs, cherries, poplars trees are also a good place to look for them. I do not have pictures to post, but they look like dark long bird droppings. Pry them carefully from the back and voila! Most of the ones that I collect I take them to other areas, like when we go hiking or camping.

My internet conection is acting up again...

I also didn't see all that many mantids this year when it was warmer! I'll have to go down to a field.

I tell you, Canada is to blame!

I've looked around... last summer I probably. Had 100 babies in my front flower bed.. but didn't think.. hey my chams would eat them.. now that its winter I haven't seen a single one.. looking for your basic old mantis.. ..

Oh and yes I'm in Sacramento CA...
