Losing weight

Hey,

My panther amilobe is around a year and half old. He was pretty big when I got him, and now he's lost a little weight. He's still moving around and what I just dont want him to get too small. I know wax worms are fattening just i would need lke 50 with his appetite. And pinkies I know are good to gain weight but im not sure if I wanna feed him one. So if anyone has any suggestions on food items that could help him gain some weight that would be great.

thanks,
-Chill

you should not fed him pinkies to gain weight.
Pinkies has trace amount of retinol and lots of high protein.
It is easy to overload your chameleon with retinol and protein.
both are dangerous for your chameleon in high concentration.

horn worms are better than wax worms.
can you post a pic of your chameleon and his enclosure?

Is your cham a WC or CB. Could there be a parasite problem. If he is eating well, but not gaining weight, could be due to worms. A stool sample to the vet is cheap and a good diagnostic considering your concern.
